For a size of a few millimetres, the new micro-batteries are powerful enough to jump start a car battery and then quickly charge the cell phone. Researchers from the University of Illinois have developed the micro batteries which can be used to drive compact electronic devices and new applications for radio communications. The micro batteries are so good that they can even out power the super capacitors. The results were published in ‘Nature Communications’ in the April 16 issue. With the latest maps refreshed for navigation during the travelling, “Tom Tom” has unveiled a new navigator, “Tom Tom Go”. This device has now brought into the satellite navigation arena with the interactive 3D mapping. The company is totally redesigned the device from the existing products. The company expects the users to have more interactive experiences with zoom in and zoom out feature of the map using very few easy touches. Go has some new features like ‘Lifetime Tom Tom Traffic’ interactive maps and 3D maps. This would allow the driver to know, at all times, what is going around them, the company claims. 
Logitech Harmony has launched two new remote control devices, the “Harmony Smart Control “and “Harmony Ultimate”. Both these devices of Logitech are powered with control features that can be used for smart phones and game consoles. They can work through walls and cupboards. The Harmony Ultimate is a packed hub of features. It has colored 2.4 inch touch screen which gives access to channel numbers, channel list, up and down features and other functions. It has an integrated circuit with Philips Hue light bulbs. As promised by Thompson the remote can control the TV, on the Blue-ray, and can as well control the temperature and brightness of the bulb.
