You can have a special page in Google Chrome, which comprises nine thumbnails for the most often visited web pages, a list of recent bookmarks and recently closed pages. You can’t disable this feature from the interface and you can’t remove the thumbnails if you don’t like them. Now Google Chrome has been built with support of user scripts and it is easy to write a script that can hide the all content from the new tab page.

If you want to use this feature, you must be a user of Google Chrome 2 Beta developer version or a recent Chromium build. Then create a shortcut or find the shortcut for Chrome’s executable, Right click on the shortcut, choose properties and append to the value value from the Target field –enable-user-scripts (include a space before the flag). Create a directory named User Scripts in one of these locations and save this user script in the directory. You may need to restart Google Chrome if it’s already running.
