Fix: Images are not opening in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

Sometimes if you try opening the pictures using the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer feature in Windows XP, you might have noticed that the images will not be opened fully. However, if you open the same images in any other applications like MS Paint or photoshop, you will be still able to view them. Moreover, some of the files will not be displayed in Windows Explorer. This issue occurs if the Shimgvw.dll file is no longer registered.

Important warning
If you modify the registry incorrectly, some serious problems might occur and these issues will require reinstalling the operating system. Therefore, ensure that you follow the steps carefully. At the same time, if you want to take a backup of the registry, you can take if before modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs or whenever you want. Google: Touchscreens get a new experimental tab from Chrome

The new experimental new tab page about:flags page has been added with a new option by Chromium. This tab is a work in process and used to optimize for the touchscreens. However, the feature includes the web apps you’ve previously installed to be organized in multiple home screens.

“The idea with this touch NTP is to focus (for now) on apps, and make it easy
to arrange them into pages. You can swipe/drag to switch pages, and press
and hold to lift an app and rearrange it,” explains Google.
